Featured Case Study: Canguros Bilingual Preschool

Building a bilingual digital experience that supports enrollment, communication, and community connection

Canguros is a bilingual preschool serving families through a culturally rich, education-focused environment — but their website didn’t fully reflect the clarity, accessibility, or experience they provided in person.

The goal wasn’t just to redesign the site.

It was to create a digital experience that worked for both English- and Spanish-speaking families — while supporting enrollment, communication, and day-to-day engagement.

The Challenge

Before the redesign, the school faced several key challenges:

  • Inconsistent experience between English and Spanish content

  • Navigation that made it difficult for families to find enrollment and program information

  • Gaps in translation that created confusion for Spanish-speaking users

  • Mobile layout issues affecting usability for busy parents

  • A website that didn’t fully reflect the warmth, structure, and quality of the school

The site existed — but it wasn’t fully supporting the families it was built for.

The Strategy

We approached the project through a strategy-first lens, focusing on how families actually interact with school websites — especially in bilingual environments.

Our focus areas included:

  • Creating a seamless experience across English and Spanish versions

  • Structuring clear enrollment pathways for new families

  • Simplifying navigation for faster access to key information

  • Ensuring mobile usability for on-the-go parents

  • Aligning the digital experience with the school’s identity and values

Every decision was guided by clarity, accessibility, and real-world usability.

The Solution

Key improvements included:

  • A fully restructured website with aligned English and Spanish experiences

  • Translation and content refinement to ensure clarity across both languages

  • Improved navigation and page structure for easier access to programs and enrollment

  • Mobile optimization across key pages to improve usability

  • Visual and content updates to better reflect the school’s community and learning environment

Beyond the website, the work extended into real-world engagement — including bringing educational resources directly into the classroom through Tech Is Magic, connecting digital strategy with hands-on learning

The Results

Following the updates, the school experienced:

  • Improved clarity for both English- and Spanish-speaking families

  • More seamless navigation and access to enrollment information

  • A stronger, more consistent digital presence across languages

  • A website that better supports communication, trust, and community connection

More importantly, the website now functions as a true extension of the school’s experience — not just a place for information.

Why This Worked

This project succeeded because it wasn’t just about translation — it was about structure.

When building for bilingual and family-centered environments:

  • Clarity matters more than complexity

  • Accessibility drives engagement

  • Structure determines whether users take action

When strategy leads the build:

Families can navigate with ease
Information is accessible across languages
Organizations can grow with intention
