Some projects hit different - not just because of the work, but because of the history, the honor, and the heart behind it.
Redesigning the website for U Salon wasn’t just another creative project for me - it was a full-circle moment. Lesia, the founder and owner, isn’t just a client. She’s family. I've known her my entire life. I’ve watched her grow her salon with purpose, integrity, and style - long before I ever called myself a creative or brand strategist.

More Than a Salon - It’s a Ministry
If you know Lesia, then you know that U Salon is more than a place to get your hair done. It’s a safe space. It’s spiritual. It’s where transformation happens inside and out. You might walk in for custom colors, silk press, or fresh cut - but you’ll leave feeling seen, cared for, and whole.
U Salon represents the kind of legacy business we don’t celebrate enough: Black-owned, woman-led, rooted in faith, and built from love.
The Website Redesign
When Lesia trusted me to bring new life to U Salon’s digital home, I didn’t take it lightly. I wanted the site to feel like her: warm, classy, grounded, and God-centered. We simplified the booking experience, elevated the visuals, and made sure the brand voice matched the in-person experience - welcoming, confident, and affirming.

Designing for someone who’s known you since you were a kid? It’s pressure - but it’s also the deepest kind of joy. I got to honor the legacy while helping shape the next chapter.
Why It Matters
This spotlight isn’t just about a salon. It’s about celebrating women like Lesia who’ve been building long before the world gave them credit. It’s about using my creative gifts to pour back into those who poured into me.
And that? That’s the real win.
