Hey, I’m Taylor — and I’m so glad you’re here.

I created The Creator Academy as a space to celebrate fresh digital thinking and share the creative tools entrepreneurs need to thrive. From quick color theory tips to weekly grant roundups and UX website refresh ideas, this blog is built for hustle-minded business owners doing their own thing — and doing it well.

If you're into resources that are fast, helpful, and big on beating the competition? You're in the right place.♡

A Little About Me 👋

I started designing in 2016 while working full-time as a musician. Nights were for websites, and slowly my side hustle became my full-time career.

Now, I run Taylor The Creator ATL — a creative agency where I get to build powerful websites and marketing tools for clients all over the world. I’m proud to say that what started in a tiny home office has now grown into a business that fuels dreams and changes lives.

My Philosophy 🎨

Here at The Creator Academy, we believe in:

✅ Creative tools that make you more money

✅ Design that reflects your purpose

✅ Resources that are easy to use, apply, and share

Everything I share here is tested, real-world advice I’ve used in my own agency. Take what works for you, leave what doesn’t — and if you ever want to request a topic, I’d love to hear from you.

Life Lately ☀️

Born and raised in East Atlanta, I’m currently soaking up the SaltLife in Clearwater, FL. When I’m not designing or writing, I’m skating, exploring the Caribbean, walking my sweet rescue pups, or skating near the beach.

Thank You 🖤

Whether you’re just starting your business or scaling your next big idea, thank you for being here. I hope this space inspires, equips, and supports you on your journey.

Have a topic request? A favorite resource from the blog? Let me know in the comments!

And if you’re ready to elevate your brand and website, we’d love to help.

Let’s turn your ideas into impact.

It's too common nowadays for people to think that social media is a professional means of business communications. TikTok and other social platforms are great for doing just that - growing your social following. If your business has no website - where are you feeding for followers on a consistent reliable basis?

The world would probably end if all social platforms went down for a day. Kidding, but some "business" would end. Solely because their "following" was not was not organized especially in a way that convert to leads in the event their platforms were no longer available. In best cases, as long as the internet is working so will your website.

A business’s online presence, regardless of industry, can have a massive impact on its success. Having a strong online presence, particularly a website, can be make or break for generating more revenue. Yes, the quality of your website impacts results, but the purpose of this article to stress the importance of making sure you have a website.

I've helped numerous companies of varying sizes create their digital presences. In some cases, organizations are hesitant to get online because they feel they are not tech-savvy enough and don't understand how to manage a website. Other times, companies are concerned about the price. Abandon all of these theories. I'm here to tell you it's much easier today than it was 10 years ago to have a strong digital presence.

Buckle Up Here's the Good Part

Credibility

In the age of AI and scammers you really cant be too careful. Also, chances are there are several providers offering a similar service to yours. What makes your business credible and stand out in the saturated internet sea? One way you can stand out is by having a website that looks good and clearly communicates quality information to your consumers. Having a website is an opportunity to make a great first impression and give people comfort that you’re a REAL business.

Brand

Showcasing your brand to your prospective customers is one of the most important things that you can do. By clearly establishing who you are, what you represent and what makes you different, you increase the chances of your customers buying from you. This is also something that can set you apart from your competitors. Don't make your customers hunt through social handles to find quality and reliable information on your business.

Leads

Probably one of the strongest reasons to have a website for your business is to increase your chances of getting leads. Let's be honest, your passion needs fuel Even though websites have a cost, when used correctly, done beautifully, they have a positive ROI.

Organic Traffic

Once you're online and have an SEO-optimized website, you have a chance of showing up in Google search results. This means that when people are searching for a product or service, there is a chance your website will show up in the results. Double tap if you found me on Google. 😘

This gives you the opportunity to drastically increase your customer base - globally!

Updates And Announcements

Since your website is on 24/7, it's easy to post updates and announcements to your customers. It's a way to keep them up to date on everything that you're doing. When something is particularly relevant to them, it increases the chance of you being able to point them to additional services. Thus, coming back to you and your website.

Digital Marketing

If you plan on seriously leveraging digital marketing to increase your leads and grow your business, you'll likely want to drive traffic to a website or landing page. To do this effectively, leverage historic traffic that has been going to your website so you can target the most qualified customers and get the best ROI on your ad spend. This is AFTER you have a dope website that reflects what you offer. It is best to get your website running early even if you’re not planning on selling anything or running ads at the moment.

If you're serious about your business and connecting with a larger audience your website matters. Websites have been and are becoming more essential to business today. I strongly recommend creating one if you haven’t done so already. You can improve it over time, but the key is to start.

Stay tuned for more digital success tips!

Hi, I’m Taylor — a creative, a techie, and a born hustlepreneur.

As the youngest of five, I was the kid making and selling bracelets, braiding hair after school, and burning custom CDs for roller rink money. I didn’t realize it at the time, but I was learning entrepreneurship through survival, creativity, and curiosity.

Eventually, I saved up and bought my first DSLR camera and MacBook — huge at the time. That sparked my love for digital design. As an Atlanta native and performing arts high school grad, I naturally blended creativity with business and pursued a career in Media Arts, Production, and Creative Direction.

After finishing my M.F.A. at Kennesaw State, I landed what I thought was my “dream job” in corporate. Great pay, great title. But my freelance work — the same side hustles that paid my bills through college — kept tugging at me. I didn’t feel fulfilled.

Then COVID hit. Like so many others, I was laid off. But honestly? It felt like divine alignment. I wasn’t waking up at crazy hours anymore, or skipping meals to fit my passion into someone else’s 9–5 schedule. I finally had the time to pour into me.

College Taylor

Around the same time, my friends were launching their own businesses, and I started helping them—building their websites, branding their ideas, setting up marketing systems. And just like that, everything took off. Referrals came in. Sites were going viral. Sales were growing. I was working full-time again — for myself.

So I prayed, trusted my gut, and made the leap.

I launched Taylor The Creator Agency — a full-service creative agency for hustlepreneurs who want to build smart, beautiful, money-making brands.

Today, we design bold, strategic websites and visual branding for small businesses and growing teams. And when I say there’s nothing like my designs on the internet — I mean that. I mix art, tech, and heart in everything I create.

💡 I’m especially proud of the projects that made people believe in their own dreams again — like:

  • The PGA Tour augmented reality website I built for Quintar AI, later spotlighted at Google I/O.

  • The Bando ATL, a food museum that started as a dream on a napkin and is now a viral Atlanta staple with Uber Eats partnerships and a youth-focused mission.

My first website was honestly terrible. But I kept going. I worked for free. I learned. I failed. I improved. And I scaled — from free favors to five-figure contracts.

Now, three years in, I know this for sure:The moment you decide to take your dream seriously — really bet on yourself — you start walking in your purpose. And that’s when everything begins to shift.

At Taylor The Creator Agency, we’re not just building websites. We’re building legacies. We’re helping people reclaim their time, own their gifts, and break free from the idea that work has to be exhausting to be valuable.

The sky isn’t the limit — it’s just the starting point.

Let’s build something unforgettable.

With love & hustle,Taylor
