My New Kids' eBook! 🚀

Tech is Magic
Tech Is Magic: Fun Facts About Robots, Bugs, and the Big Wide Web

Hello, friends!

I’m beyond excited to share a very special project that’s been close to my heart: Tech Is Magic: Fun Facts About Robots, Bugs, and the Big Wide Web - a new eBook created especially for curious minds ages 5–9.

This book started with a simple idea: what if learning about technology felt a bit like discovering magic? What if kids could see robot vacuums as helpers with personalities, imagine tiny moths inspiring the term “computer bug,” or realize that their fingers hold secret power on touchscreens?

Tech Is Magic

As a former teacher and lifelong book lover, creating Tech Is Magic was deeply personal for me. I grew up obsessed with reading - books opened up entire worlds. I wanted this project to do the same for kids curious about how technology and creativity intersect.

I studied at DeKalb School of the Arts, where my love for storytelling blossomed, and later earned my master’s in technical writing at Kennesaw State University. Every illustration in this book was designed with intention - to spark curiosity in kids and welcome them into both the art and tech spaces, especially those who don’t often see themselves there.

Each page is filled with bite-sized, fact-packed stories—like how the internet turned 40 in 1983, or how Tim Berners-Lee built the very first website in 1991. And because I believe learning works best when it’s playful, I’ve included a fun bonus: our Tech Is Magic scavenger hunt, designed to bring tech to life in real time around the house.

Tech is Magic

I created this book hoping it will:

  • Spark curiosity and big questions about how things work.

  • Give parents and teachers a playful tool to introduce STEM.

  • Encourage young readers to imagine themselves as tomorrow’s inventors.

If you love seeing a child's face light up as they learn, giggle at a fun fact, or proudly complete a scavenger hunt, this book is for you.

Tech Is Magic will be available everywhere eBooks are sold - from Amazon Kindle to Apple Books - and right here on my website with bonus printable activities.

Thank you for being part of this journey. Your support means everything, and I can't wait to hear how your little explorers enjoy the adventure.

Here’s to curiosity, creativity, and a future filled with wonder!

When people land on your website, they have seconds- yes, seconds - to decide if they trust you. And if your site is unclear, cluttered, or all over the place, they’ll bounce without ever giving your work a chance.

Here are 4 common ways websites confuse potential clients and exactly how to fix them to build trust and boost conversions:

1. Simplify Your Navigation

If your menu feels like a maze, visitors won’t find what they need. Cut the clutter. Use clear labels. Make it dead simple for people to explore your site and find exactly what they want without frustration.

2. Speak Your Customer’s Language

Industry jargon? Leave it at the door. Write like you’re talking to a real person - your ideal customer. Use straightforward, relatable language that makes your value clear in seconds.

3. Highlight Your Value Up Front

Don’t bury your offer deep on some obscure page. Your homepage should scream “Here’s how I help you” — loud and clear. Use bold headlines, benefits-focused copy, and calls-to-action that guide visitors toward the next step.

4. Build Social Proof Into Your Design

People trust people. Sprinkle testimonials, reviews, or logos of brands you’ve worked with throughout your site. Seeing real proof instantly builds credibility and reduces hesitation.

Here’s the bottom line: a confusing website costs you customers and sales every single day. But with these four fixes, you can turn that confusion into clarity - and build trust that keeps people coming back.

Let’s be real—your website is more than a digital business card. It’s your brand’s first impression, your 24/7 salesperson, and your creative playground. But if it’s feeling more “meh” than magnetic lately, it might be time for a glow-up.

Here are 5 signs your website is due for a refresh—and what to do next.

1. You’ve Outgrown It

Your business has evolved, but your website hasn’t kept up. Maybe your services have changed, your audience is different, or you’ve completely rebranded—but your site still says “2019 vibes.”

What to do: Revisit your goals. Are you selling something new? Targeting a different audience? A strategic redesign can align your site with where your business is now, not where it started.

2. You Cringe When You Share It

If you hesitate to drop your URL in conversations or on Instagram because “it’s not really ready,” that’s your gut telling you something.

What to do: Give your homepage a makeover. Clean design, updated messaging, and a clear call-to-action can boost confidence fast. And if you’re still unsure where to start, a strategy session with a pro (👋🏽 hi!) can help.

3. It’s Not Mobile-Friendly

Here’s the truth: if your site looks off on a phone, people will click away—fast. Over 60% of website traffic happens on mobile, so if things are hard to tap, read, or scroll... you’re losing potential clients.

What to do: Run your site through a mobile preview or ask friends to check it on different devices. Then make adjustments—or book a site audit if you need an expert eye.

4. You’re Getting Traffic but No Conversions

People are landing on your site... and then bouncing. That’s a conversion problem, not a traffic problem.

What to do: Look at your user journey. Is it clear what you want people to do? Are your services easy to find? Do you have strong headlines and trust-builders like testimonials? Tweaking your layout and copy can turn visitors into bookings.

5. You’re Ready to Level Up

Sometimes, you just feel it. You’re stepping into a new season, a new offer, or a new energy—and your website needs to match.

What to do: Trust that nudge. This is the perfect time to invest in a refreshed, elevated site that reflects your growth. Whether it’s a full redesign or a strategic touch-up, your digital space should feel aligned with where you're headed—not where you’ve been.
